Client Responsibilities

Security Systems

  • All security wiring is left visible by plaster/carpenter/tiler etc.
  • Price does not include the cost of locating cables not left visible in plaster. Cost is at the clients expense.
  • Provision of an accurate plan.
  • Provision of 10 days notice of work required.
  • Any damage caused to wiring after installation is the responsibility of the client.
  • Confirmation of security cameras, security control, detectors, siren location. (Any re-positioning changes after installation are chargeable)
  • All trenches are the Clients responsibility unless specified in writing by Eclipse Security Systems.
  • Cutting of Tiles, Bricks or Timber Panelling is the Clients responsibility unless specified in writing by Eclipse Security Systems.
  • Provision of 240V power points are provided by the client.
  • Provision of Mode 3 Telephone Socket near main alarm panel (if required) provided by the client.
  • Where applicable, Client is responsible for connection of auxiliary equipment.
  • Fitting of electrical door locking devices shall be the clients responsibility unless detailed in scope of works.

Intercom

  • Provision of 240V power point as directed.
  • Where applicable, client is responsible for connection of auxiliary equipment.
  • Wall boxes to be installed by client in brickwork (unless otherwise agreed to, in writing).
  • Fitting of electrical door locking device shall be the client’s responsibility unless otherwise agreed.
  • All trenches are the Clients responsibility unless specified in writing by Eclipse Security Systems.

Ducted Vacuum

  • That outlet location are left visible by plasterer/carpenter/tiler etc.
  • Price does not include the cost of locating vacuum points not left visible in plaster. Cost is at the clients expense.
  • Provision of 240V power point within one metre of vacuum power unit arranged by client.
  • Provision of an accurate plan.
  • Provision of five days notice prior to commencement of work required.
  • Any damage caused to ducting or wiring after installation is the responsibility of the client.
  • Confirmation of vacuum outlets and motor locations. (Any positioning changes after installation are chargeable).
  • Cutting of Tiles, Brick or Timber Panelling is the clients responsibility unless specified in writing by Eclipse Security Systems

Other Conditions of Contract Validity

Any offer or quotation made by Eclipse Security Systems is open for acceptance for a period of 30 days from the time thereof, after which time the conditions of its offer or quotation are, at the option of Eclipse Security Systems liable to review.

Installation

Eclipse Security Systems reserves the right to alter equipment locations up to one metre due to constructional circumstances. Interference to the intercom & security system by external electrical fields such as dimmers, electrical appliances, radio transmitters, SEC cable and the like are not covered by warranty.

All prices are based on two site visits, unless otherwise specified on quotation. The client is liable for additional charges incurred for extra site visits.

Site must be clear of obstacles prior to installation, a site inspection will be carried out by an installer on the day of installation and we reserve the right to postpone the installation, if the site is deemed as dangerous.

Should equipment require installation, maintenance or service over 2 meters high an elevated work platform will be required at additional cost. If not detailed on your quotation, we are happy to organise equipment hire on your behalf, at your request.

Variations

Estimate & quotations are based on information supplied by the client. Any variation to the scope of works will be at an additional cost and will require a variation report completed and signed.

On Approval

A minimum deposit of 30% is required prior to commencement of works and non refundable if you simply change your mind.

Terms of Payment

  • Payment is due on completion of each stage or as detailed in quotation and agreed by both parties
  • Late payments may incur additional late charges
  • Eclipse Security Systems reserves the right to recover from the purchaser on an indemnity basis all legal costs and expenses incurred by it in the collection of any overdue outstanding account including but not limited to any mercantile agents fees and commission which are due and payable.
  • No claims are recognised unless made in 7 days.
  • The title of goods sold by Eclipse Security Systems to the customer shall not pass to the customer until the customer has paid all monies due and owing to Eclipse Security Systems.

Warranty

  • Installation is under warranty for a minimum period of 3 months or unless otherwise specified. This becomes void should the equipment be interfered with by any person other than a representative of Eclipse Security Systems.
  • All equipment is subject to manufacturers warranties.
  • All equipment must be returned to Eclipse Security Systems for warranty. All visits to installation site (outside the first 3 months are subject to charges).

Limitation of Liability and Third Party Indemnity

  • Eclipse Security Systems will not be liable to the client or to any other person or third party in respect of any loss or damage arising directly or indirectly (including, without limitation, damages for loss of business, business interruption, loss of information, loss of goods and/or personal items and or indirect or consequential loss) from the performance or nonperformance of the equipment, or its use or misuse, provision of the services, power failures, surges, lightning, blown fuses, Patrol Response Service or any breach by the company of any of its obligations under this agreement.

    Eclipse Security Systems acknowledges Trades Practices Act and provides warranties and certain conditions of warranties as detailed above.

    If the company is found liable for any loss or damage sustained or suffered by the client or any other person, whether such loss or damage arises from a breach by Eclipse Security Systems of any contractual provision or is due to or arises from any negligence or act of commision or omission on the part of the company, its employees or agents in any respect or the failure of the equipment to operate properly, the maximum liability under this agreement and at common law is limited to a sum not exceeding:

    • in the case of any claim arising from the equipment, an amount equal to the purchase price of the equipment; or
    • with regards to the services an amount not exceeding (3) months of Fees.

    To the maximum amount allowable by law, the client agrees to indemnify, defend and hold Eclipse Security Systems harmless from any claims and actions by any person not a party to this agreement being claims based on any reason whatsoever, except to the extent such action occurs while an employee or agent of the company is on the premises and such loss, damage, expense and liability is solely and directly caused by the said employee or agent.
